Vanemuine Theater – archive shelves

With its 150-year history, the Vanemuine Theater is the first native theater in Estonia, the founding of which in 1870 also marks the birth of the National Theater. Named after the narrator of stories born from Nordic traditional culture, the cosmic egg, the god of spells with a magical voice, the Vanemuine Theater has always been the heart of Estonian culture, the custodian and carrier of its traditions, but also the initiator of theatrical innovations.

In addition to preserving cultural heritage, the theater needs to store documents and archive materials that are necessary for the smooth running of everyday life. As always, the lack of space is everywhere.

In cooperation with the theater staff, we found the best solution, as a result of which every centimeter of floor space was used. This is how the mobile archive shelves were designed and installed.
